Center Of International Studies

At St Cloud State University, you will find a campus and community that supports international students from the moment they step onto campus, to graduation, and through their future careers. Students find that St Cloud State is a university that has all the benefits and resources of a large university while having a connection to staff and faculty that is commonly found at a small university. SCSU, located on the beautiful Mississippi River in central Minnesota, will help students achieve and unleash their potential with a supportive environment in a safe, and affordable place to live and study. We are proud at SCSU to host more than 1,200 international students from more than 92 countries.

CAMPUS AND COMMUNITY

SCSU campus is alongside the majestic Mississippi River and a short walk to downtown St. Cloud. St Cloud is an amazing location to experience Minnesota’s four seasons where you will have the opportunity to explore why Minnesota is known for our weather. Cloud. In the winter, you can experience outdoor activities such as skiing, snowshoeing, and even ice fishing. During the warmer months, explore the city by biking on the Beaver Island trail or hiking through Quarry Park and Nature Preserve.

If you are looking for a larger city to explore, St. Cloud is just 75 miles north of Minneapolis and St. Paul - home to Mall of America the largest shopping mall in America! It is not uncommon for students to spend the weekend or day exploring Minnesota’s largest Metropolitan area. There is public transportation that runs from St. Cloud State’s campus into the heart of Minneapolis. Due to its central location, St. Cloud is also a great location to explore Duluth (Lake Superior!), Lake Itasca (the start of the Mississippi river), Mille Lacs Reservation, the Boundary Waters and other state parks.
