Fullerton College is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. We offer nearly 200 academic programs leading to Vocational Certificates, Associate Degrees, and transfer to 4-year universities.

Fullerton College is located in North Orange County and enjoys the sunny southern California climate with an average temperature of 75 degrees (24 Celsius).

Enjoy downtown Fullerton shopping, restaurants, and nightlife, all within walking distance to Fullerton College. Close by are Southern California attractions such as Disneyland, Knott’s Berry Farm, Honda Center, and Angel Stadium. Fullerton College is located 20 miles (32 kilometers) from Huntington Beach and 27 miles (43 kilometers) from Los Angeles.

Students have easy access to public transportation. Several local buses stop on campus and the Metrolink train station is within walking distance. Trains provide reliable access to Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco, and many other destinations.

Transfer to a University

Earn your Bachelor Degree in 4 years! Fullerton College ranks among the top community colleges who transfer students to the University of California (UC) and California State University (CSU) systems. Many F-1 visa students transfer to UC Berkeley, UCLA, UC Irvine, UC San Diego, CSU Fullerton, CSU Long Beach, California Polytechnic University Pomona, USC, and more.

Fullerton College has transfer agreements with the University of California (UC) campuses and California State University (CSU) campuses. In 2 years at Fullerton College, students can complete lower division general education classes, then transfer to a university for their upper division major courses.

Academic Programs

Fullerton College offers 62 Vocational Certificate programs, 93 university transfer majors, and 18 transfer associate degrees (AA/AS-T). Unique to California, community college students who have earned an AA/AS-T degree are guaranteed priority admission consideration over all other transfer students when applying to a CSU baccalaureate (BA/BS) degree program. The BA/BS degree must be similar to the student’s community college major. Once admitted to a BA/BS degree program, the AA-T/AS-T student only will be required to complete 60 additional units to qualify for the BA/BS degree.

Student Support Services

The Academic Support Center at Fullerton College offers many resources and programs to help students achieve academic success. Resources include workshops, writing tutors, single subject tutors, group and individual tutoring, ESL specialists, and English conversation practice.

The Library provides a collection of materials which supports the curriculum and the information needs of the campus community. Students have access to the collection as well as off campus materials. 

The Office of Special Programs provides collaborative connections with campus departments, local organizations, and international communities to enhance students’ experiences inside and outside the classroom. Students have opportunities to join the Honors Program and to volunteer in the community. 

The Cadena Transfer Center provides advising appointments with academic counselors, university application workshops, college tours, and appointments with university representatives.

The Student Health Services supports students in maintaining and improving their physical and mental health. Most services are provided without charge.

International Student Center

F-1 visa students at Fullerton College enjoy full access to the International Student Center (ISC) on campus, which is dedicated to supporting their academic success and personal needs. An academic counselor designated for F-1 visa students assists with course selection, associate degree requirements, and university transfer. The ISC staff offer insight to students on how to succeed, adjust, and make the most of their time in Southern California while also providing admission, F-1 visa advising, academic counseling, support services, and social activities. The ISC staff are committed to making students feel welcome, respected, and appreciated by giving them a sense of community when they visit the Center.

The ISC’s California Cousin Mentor Program gives new F-1 visa students an opportunity to meet current Fullerton College students (both American and F-1) who will help them to successfully complete their first semester at Fullerton College. California Cousin Mentors offer new F-1 visa students friendship, assist students in adjusting to American culture, introduce them to local services (banking, shopping, recreation, transportation), and offer emotional support.

Application Information

Fullerton College operates on a semester system (Fall, Spring, Summer). Application deadlines are: March 1 – July 1 (Fall) and October 1 – December 1 (Spring). After submitting all requirements, you will receive an admission decision within one week.
