Tuition Charges

Tuition is based on the total course cost for a 3-unit course, including standard fees. Courses that have fewer than three units are prorated accordingly. Tuition varies by program. The following rates for tuition and fees reflect the 2017-2018 school year.

Rates usually remain in effect for at least one academic year. The university reserves the right, however, to adjust the rates for tuition and fees prior to the beginning of each term.

2017-2018 TUITION INFORMATION

  • Ageno School of Business and School of Accounting: $3,045 per 3-unit course*
  • Braden School of Taxation: $3,150 per 3-unit course

Fees and books are separate.

Estimated cost of living expenses is USD$20,000 per one-academic year (two trimester terms).

GGU operates on an academic calendar of three, 16-week trimesters each year. International students are welcome to apply for any of the trimesters. GGU recommends that international students complete applications at least 30 days before the term start date. There are no specific application deadlines.

English Language Proficiency Admission Requirements

All graduate level applicants whose first (native) language is not English must meet an English Language Proficiency Requirement to qualify for admission. See table below:

AGENO SCHOOL OF BUSINESS

Minimum Scores:

TOEFL Internet-based test (iBT): 79
IELTS: 6.5
Pearson Test of English (PTE): 57

Braden School of Taxation or School of Accounting

Minimum Scores:
TOEFL paper-based test (pBT): 550
TOEFL Internet-based test (iBT): 79
IELTS: 6.5
Pearson Test of English (PTE): 57

All students are still required to take the Graduate Writing Placement Exam and Math Proficiency Exam prior to term start.

Golden Gate University does not offer ESL/English Language Courses.

BUS 201 Fundamentals of U.S. Business

Graduate students in the Edward S. Ageno School of Business (except Psychology, EMPA & DBA) and Braden School of Tax are required to take the BUS 201 Fundamentals of U.S. Business to learn about United States business practices. 

Scholarships and Grants

Partial scholarships and grants from Golden Gate University are available to all international students. Applicants who are not  U.S. citizens or permanent residents including those intending to study in the US using an F or J visa are not eligible to receive federal or state financial aid.  Resources to help pay for your education may be available from your home country.
