Greetings from the Director
Thank you for your interest in the intensive English program at the Center for English Language Education (CELE) at Northwest University. As you are making your school decisions, allow me to highlight the qualities that set our program apart:
Academic excellence: Our program provides students with the best English training possible. Classes are small so you receive individualized attention from our experienced, passionate teachers. Students who wish to attend Northwest University will have their TOEFL waived after successfully completing the CELE program.
Campus connections: CELE students are a part of the larger Northwest University community, and have many opportunities to make friends and practice speaking English. CELE students are encouraged to live in the dorms with an American roommate. You can enjoy NU sporting events, the fitness center, and artistic (theatre & concert) performances.
Cultural experiences: We know that you want to learn more about American culture as well as study English, so field trips are offered throughout the year. Students visit Seattle landmarks, attend local fairs and festivals, and enjoy holiday celebrations. A favorite tradition is the monthly CELE family dinner.
Location: Northwest University is located on the eastside of Seattle, in Kirkland, along scenic Lake Washington. If you don’t mind a little rain, this is one of the most beautiful cities in the country. Weekends and holidays can be spent along the coast, on mountain hikes, or enjoying city dining & shopping, all within a short drive!
Now is the perfect time to join our program and take your English learning to the next level. I hope to see you soon!
Best regards,
Autumn Witt, Ph.D.
