Intensive English Program Description:
The UTSA Intensive English Program is a small, friendly place to learn English. Students can study in a warm and supportive atmosphere. Come to UTSA and make friends. You will enjoy the kind, professional teachers and the wonderful students who come from all over the world. In addition, you will live in San Antonio, which is a great place to live- full of the kindness of the American Southwest.
It is easy to join our program. You have to be 18 years old and a high school graduate. You also need to know a little English. That is all. Just fill out and send an application.
Students study 21 hours per week. Our classes are Academic preparation classes and include:
- Reading/Vocabulary
- Writing/Grammar
- Oral Communication
- TOEFL Preparation
We have 5 levels:
- High Beginning
- Intermediate
- High Intermediate
- Low Advanced
- Advanced
UTSA offers:
- Conditional admission is available to students who do not meet the TOEFL requirement (73 iBT for undergraduate and 87 iBT for graduate) or have no TOEFL score.
- Full access to university facilities: computing, medical, recreational, library
- Conversation Partners Program

- Tuition: $2,750
- Books, mandatory health insurance and university fees: Approximately $875.
- Housing: $2,800 - $4,480, depending on size of apartment and number of roommates
- University Meal plan: $1,956-$2,900 per semester (depending on plan chosen by student).

We are located is a warm, comfortable climate. The university is on the northwest edge of San Antonio. It is a safe and friendly place to live. Easy bus service is available to downtown where you can enjoy the Alamo and the famous San Antonio Riverwalk. While there you can shop and enjoy wonderful restaurants that are next to the beautiful river that runs through downtown.
