The University of Memphis, which is located in a lovely residential area with shopping, recreation, and entertainment nearby, is fully accredited. Upon passing the TOEFL iBT with a score of 61 for undergraduate studies and 78 for graduate school, many IEI students enter the credited university program. The University of Memphis offers baccalaureate degrees in more than seventy areas of study and master's degrees in 49 areas. Doctorates and other specialized degrees are offered in 14 areas. More than 22,000 students representing fifty states and over sixty countries are enrolled in the university.

The IEI Program at the University of Memphis Offers:

F-1 students must send the following materials when applying:

• Completed, signed application form
• Completed, signed affidavit of financial responsibility
• Original bank letter in English indicating that the sponsor has funds to support the student (minimum - $5,600 for one eight-week session)
• Application fee ($100) made payable in U.S. dollars, by check or money order, to The University of Memphis
• Official transcript in English showing grades and courses completed from secondary school / high school or university
• Recent photograph, passport size

Because it may take up to several months to obtain the necessary visa to enter the U.S., prospective students should apply as soon as possible.

Dormitories and student apartments are available to full time IEI students on a first-come, first-serve basis. A Residence Hall Information Brochure will be sent to you upon request.

In addition to full access to the university library, computer labs and health care services, IEI students have full use of all the athletic facilities at the university. Activities include soccer, basketball, tennis, racquetball, handball, and indoor and outdoor swimming. Students can also attend university sporting events, concerts, and theatrical productions.
