    Academics

    Known for challenging academics, UD offers more than 70 undergraduate programs and 50 graduate programs in arts and sciences, business administration, education and allied professions, engineering and law. International students applying for admission into a degree-seeking academic program to the University of Dayton are strongly encouraged to apply online. UD's online application is simple, fast and free.

    TOEFL requirements:

    • Undergraduates - Minimum of 523 paper-based (PB) and 193 computer-based (CB) or 70 internet-based (iB)
    • Graduates - Minimum of 550 paper-based (PB) and 213 computer-based (CB) or 80 internet-based (iB)
    • IEP - Not required

    Intensive English Program

    The University of Dayton's Intensive English Program (IEP) provides students with instruction in grammar, pronunciation, listening, reading and writing. Students receive individual attention from highly knowledgeable faculty and staff and can excel through involvement in student clubs on campus, conversation partners, field trips and small class sizes.

    Students have two options to apply online to the University of Dayton. Students who are not interested in applying for a degree-seeking academic program can apply to the IEP program only. Students interested in receiving conditional admission to a degree-seeking academic program while attending IEP should apply online to their intended degree program.

    Scholarships

    Scholarships are available for international students entering undergraduate programs. After students have completed the Intensive English Program, they are eligible for scholarships.

    Center for International Programs (CIP)

    The Center for International Programs (CIP) is dedicated to promoting global awareness, fostering an appreciation for diversity and helping students understand their roles as world citizens. The CIP, in collaboration with other campus organizations, sponsors campus lectures and programs focusing on world events and international issues.

    Located in the CIP, the International Student and Scholar Services staff assist international students with a wide variety of areas such as immigration issues, counseling, personal advising, social and extracurricular activities, and emergencies. The International Student Services Coordinator is fully authorized to issue I-20s for students to apply for an F-1 visa and DS-2019s for those applying for a J-1 visa through an exchange partnership.
