International Students

Through the Cultural Exchange Club, the Global Center and the Ethnic Diversity Committee, our students, together with faculty and staff, are involved in ensuring that Darton College creates an atmosphere in which foreign students feel welcome. The International Student Advisor plays a big role in their adjustment to the college and the community. Students are assisted in initial airport pickup, obtaining driver's licenses, opening bank accounts, etc. Faculty members are willing to work one-on-one with students who need extra help in their academics. International students are seen as ambassadors from their countries, and they delight in sharing information about their countries with their classmates. A welcome party every semester brings all returning and new international students together. International students are encouraged to participate in the Cultural Exchange Club that plans local and regional trips, house parties, an International Festival, and holiday celebrations. Students can enjoy four bowling alleys, a massive indoor climbing wall, three racquetball courts, student study lounge areas, interaction areas, a table tennis area, a pool table area, TV and electronic gaming areas at the new student center. This provides international students a forum to socialize with each other and with faculty and staff.
