Religion and politics blend naturally at Georgetown University, an institution renowned for developing leaders in the very seat of democracy. Guided by the brightest minds in religious and political theory, you’ll closely examine religion’s influence on policy making—past and present. Through your internship you’ll have an exceptional opportunity to get involved with a lobbying firm or religious interest group, see government in action with elected officials or support policy experts in their research. Seminars led by Georgetown’s esteemed faculty followed by small group discussions will give you further insights into the influential role of religion in American politics.

You will be provided a comprehensive and up to date overview of international business and institutions involved in the process. Topics covered include the nature and characteristics of international business, globalization, international trade, environmental issues, strategy and structure of multinational corporations, problems of foreign direct investments, conflicts between host countries and multinational corporations, effects of
multinational corporations on the economy and career issues in international business.
Journalism, Politics & the Media
Learn how journalism influences politics
Immerse yourself in the city where journalism, politics and media intersect. At Georgetown you will have the opportunity to work with those involved in forming laws and policy and learn and to analyze the current political events that shape our democracy. Through an internship and course study, you will see first-hand the role played by journalists and the news media in setting the agenda for public debate, the ways that television and film craft narratives that give meaning to our lives and the political changes that are affected by the media. During your time in Washington, DC you will benefit from access to the nation’s capital and working in the center of U.S. politics.
