By air, Denver is 1 hour 27 minutes from Los Angeles, 1 hour 39 minutes from San Francisco, 2 hours and fifty minutes from New York and 3 hours from Miami.
A limited number of graduate assistantships/teaching assistantships/student assistant positions maybe available for qualified international students in certain departments. International students can apply for these positions ONLY after their arrival on campus and after being registered as a full time student. Application requirements for CU Denver International Students
To apply for admission to the university, you will need to:
- Submit an online application form.
- Pay a $ 75 international student application fee online.
- Upload and submit copies of all academic records, degree certificates (with certified translations if the original document is not in English), recommendation letters, personal statement and passport copy along with your application form.
- Submit satisfactory TOEFL or IELTS score (if available).
- GMAT or GRE or SAT scores may be required for admission to some programs.
- Submit financial statement and bank statement.
- Please check with your academic department about any additional application and admission requirements.

International College Beijing, China (CU Denver program in Beijing, China)
The International College Beijing (ICB) is a joint education program between the University of Colorado Denver (CU Denver) in Denver, Colorado, USA, and China Agricultural University (CAU) in Beijing, People’s Republic of China. At ICB you earn a Bachelor of Arts degree from UCD with a major in either economics or communication. Courses are taught in English by UC Denver faculty on the China Agricultural University campus in Beijing. The curriculum is academically rigorous and equal to that of the economics or communication major on the downtown Denver campus. Pursuing higher education at ICB is a superior choice for Chinese students. You may study at ICB for your entire undergraduate career or you may apply to study in Denver for part of that time. Either way, you are guaranteed a superb education!
